Challenge 6 of Articulate E-learning Heroes challenges was to revive an actual medical course. Using the existing color pallet, I tried creating a simple and elegant theme. Since, I wanted to do something different, so, instead of creating a simple tab interaction, I used pictures as tabs. First, I selected 5 pictures which aligned with the course objectives and gelled with my theme. Then, I created a blinking effect using different layers. The blinking effect encourages the learners to click on the picture which takes them to a different slide covering the course objectives.

In one of the slides, I created a flowchart to demonstrate a process. The idea behind it was that sometimes it’s more effective to describe something graphically rather than using sentences. A nicely laid out flowchart usually gains and holds the learner’s attention when a block of text often fails. Instead of graphs this can also be done using pictures or a video.
